The European Sivananda Yoga Centres have organized yoga teacher training courses in India since 2006. The course location in Rudraprayag is situated on a tributary to the Ganges.

The area carries the spiritual thought currents of generations of spiritual seekers and pilgrims who walked and prayed in this pristine mountain region.

Tourist e-Visas are available for 30 days, 1 year or 5 years. For TTC and ATTC: Please apply for the 1-year or 5-year visa. The 30-day visa does not give sufficient time to travel to Rudraprayag, complete the course and depart from India.

The Sivananda Yoga Teachers’ Training Course (TTC) was established by Swami Vishnudevananda with the vision to spread peace in the world through yoga.

It is the largest and longest-running yoga teacher training in the West with over 51,000 graduates worldwide since 1969.

The courses take place in February/March and in October/November.

Languages: English, German, French, Spanish. Please enquire for details on Italian and Russian translation.

Asana practice in separate language groups.

Rooms (1–3 beds) with a private bathroom.

On lecture-free days, excursions are organized to extraordinary Himalayan temples.

Special programmes:

Advanced Teachers' Training (ATTC)

The four-week Advanced Teachers’ Training Course allows graduates of the Sivananda Yoga Teachers Training Course to further expand their knowledge and practice. You gain a deeper understanding of yoga and strengthen your Sadhana and spiritual life.

The course takes place each year in February/March.

Sadhana Intensive

In Rudraprayag, Himalayas, India

The Sadhana Intensive is a two-week yoga course based on the classical teachings of the Hatha Yoga Pradipika. It was designed by Swami Vishnudevananda, who based the course curriculum on the intensive Hatha Yoga practice which he himself followed during a period of intense Sadhana retreat in the Himalayas. Swami Vishnudevananda often said that this intensive practice gave him the energy to carry out his mission of spreading the teachings of yoga in the West for nearly 40 years.

The course takes place each year in October/November.
