Beginning the yoga journey

Continuing the journey
Graduates of the four-week foundation course can further their practice and knowledge through the four-week Advanced Teachers’ Training Course and the Sadhana Intensive, a two-week advanced practice course.
Additionally, weekend and week-long certification programmes are available for yoga instructors.
An optional six-month in-depth study and practice course, the Sivananda Yoga Academy, combines online lectures and discussions, onsite retreats and personal guidance.
Life Immersion Training is a new six-month guided residential programme of study, practice and service.
The Advanced Teachers’ Training Course is an opportunity for graduates of the Sivananda Teachers’ Training Course to deepen their spiritual knowledge over four weeks of intensive yoga practice and the study of Vedanta philosophy.
The ATTC is offered in three stunning locations: overlooking the Ganges River in Rudraprayag, Himalayas; in the majestic Tyrolean Alps; or in the bucolic setting of the Loire Valley in France.
This intensive two-week practical course focuses on asanas and advanced pranayama, progressively increasing practice to eight hours per day.
Practise amidst the peaceful vibrations of the Ashram de Yoga Sivananda in the Loire Valley, France, or travel to the Indian Himalayas where the atmosphere is charged by the powerful thought currents of generations of spiritual seekers.
Participants benefit from detailed correction workshops with Q&A sessions and the exchange of teaching experiences, providing them with new insights and ideas to enhance their own teaching practice.
Here are a handful of the further training certificate courses offered on a regular basis.
