The Meditation Know-how certificate course is open to all yoga practitioners, though it will be particularly rewarding for yoga teachers.

This meditation certificate course emphasizes the transformative power of concentration and meditation, offering practical techniques for deepening your practice.
You’ll explore how to develop concentration through asanas, pranayama, and paying close attention to body sensations.
You’ll practise a variety of meditation exercises focusing on positive values, light, colors and shapes, and mantra repetition – words of power which have a balancing effect on the mind. The course also delves into the art of positive thinking, the yogic way of life, and religious and Vedantic meditation.
The knowledge gained from this course can be seamlessly applied to your own teaching, helping you guide students toward a deeper meditation experience.
By incorporating practices like pranayama and sound meditation, you’ll enhance your students’ ability to concentrate and relax.

On completion of the training course, you will receive a certificate of participation.
The individual course is 4 days (3 nights) in duration.
A full day begins with the first meditation session at 6 am, and ends after the second meditation at 9:30 pm. See the daily schedule below for details.

Swami Sivadasananda, Yoga Acharya and senior disciple of Swami Vishnudevananda, has taught at workshops and Yoga Teachers’ Training Courses around the world for many years. He is a dynamic, precise and knowledgeable instructor.
He is the author of Sivananda Beginner’s Guide to Yoga and Yoga – Your Home Practice Companion.

Swami Ramapriyananda is the director of the Sivananda Yoga Retreat House. For over 25 years she has been teaching in the International Yoga Teachers' Training Courses, presenting all aspects of yoga with ease and creativity. Her love for plants and animals expresses itself in a natural spirituality which she shares with all visitors of the Retreat House.

This daily schedule is subject to change.
A meditation cushion for the morning and evening meditation sessions is recommended. A meditation shawl is also advantageous.
To practice the yoga poses you will need a non-slip yoga mat or wool mat. You will need a blanket to cover yourself at the end of the yoga class during the so-called final relaxation.
Pillows, shawls, blankets, mats and much more can be purchased in our online shop or in our boutique after arrival.
For your stay you should bring comfortable clothing, slippers, walking shoes, rain gear, torch (flashlight), bathing suit and towels. Eyeglass wearers should bring a hard case for safe storage during the yoga classes.

Accommodation and meals are in the non-smoking eco-hotel Hotel Pointner serving wholefood organic vegetarian cuisine.
All guest rooms have wooden floors and furniture, health mattresses, shower, toilet, hairdryer, telephone and radio. Most rooms have a balcony.

Accommodation at the ashram ranges from a tent space to a single room with private bath. Room and board are included in the course price.
