Yoga Psychology for Yoga Teachers

In this yoga psychology certificate course for yoga teachers, you’ll explore foundational practices from the Raja Yoga Sutras of Patanjali that bring clarity and depth to both your practice and your teaching.

You’ll begin by learning techniques to calm the mind’s incessant thought waves, providing a foundation for inner peace and deeper meditation. Developing mindfulness through observing various thought patterns allows you to gain valuable insight into the mind’s natural fluctuations, preparing you for more focused meditation.

Concentration and meditation are approached as progressive steps toward self-realization, helping you cultivate sustained focus and a profound inner connection. Along the way, you’ll address common obstacles to spiritual growth, equipping yourself with effective methods to overcome these challenges.

These teachings offer practical ways to enrich your yoga classes. By guiding students in observing their thought patterns, you help them develop mindfulness on the mat that can extend into their daily lives.

Practices like concentration and meditation can be seamlessly woven into your sessions, supporting students in reaching a deeper state of focus and introspection.

By sharing Patanjali’s eightfold path, you offer a holistic roadmap that can guide students toward inner balance, self-awareness, and spiritual growth, transforming their yoga practice into a true life journey.
