Deepen your knowledge of anatomy and its application in yoga teaching with this specialized training.
The Yoga Anatomy certification course provides an in-depth exploration of how the various body structures operate within yoga postures, helping you to teach with greater precision and safety. Learn how to identify and address individual physical differences in your students, prevent injuries, and enhance the effectiveness of asanas.
Ideal for yoga teachers looking to refine their understanding of biomechanics and expand their teaching skill set.
In this yoga anatomy certificate course, we will examine the “anatomy” of the 12 basic postures (asanas) of the Sivananda yoga series, each of which targets different anatomical areas of the body. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of how the various body structures operate within these poses, allowing you to teach with more precision and clarity.
We will explore the anatomy of each posture in detail, giving you the tools to effectively communicate these concepts in a helpful and engaging way to your students. You’ll also learn how to provide instructions for self-correction, empowering students to improve their alignment and deepen their practice.
Additionally, the course will teach you how to perform anatomy-related hands-on corrections, ensuring proper execution of the asanas while avoiding injury.
